Silverfish Control
Dealing With Silverfish?
Seeing silverfish in bathrooms, closets, storage areas, or office spaces? We’ll inspect damp hiding spots and treat the areas where they’re most likely active.
Silverfish We Treat
Common Silverfish
The common silverfish is the most frequent type that invades homes. It is shiny and light grey and grows to about half an inch long. It thrives in secluded, humid areas like basements or garages.
Grey Silverfish
Grey silverfish are less shiny than common silverfish. They are dull, matte grey and may look fuzzy to the naked eye. Gray silverfish prefer warmer areas like crawl spaces and attics. However, they are more likely to roam throughout your home compared to common silverfish. They thrive at around 80 °F and are less dependent on high humidity than other silverfish species.
Four-Lined Silverfish
Four-lined silverfish are the most distinct of the three common species in the Temecula area. They are generally stouter than common silverfish and have dark lines running down their backs. Some say they look ‘snake-like’ under the proper lighting. Like the grey silverfish, this species likes warmer environments and is not afraid to roam your home.
Our Silverfish Control Process
Silverfish Inspection
Our team will inspect your home to identify any silverfish activity. We focus on areas like basements, bathrooms, and attics. We use advanced detection methods to locate their hiding spots. This detailed assessment allows us to determine the infestation’s severity and create a treatment plan to address the silverfish concern in your home.
Initial Silverfish Treatment
Our team uses a targeted approach to eliminate silverfish. Simple Pest Management uses eco-friendly and safe insecticides for high-activity zones without disrupting your environment. We treat areas where silverfish are most likely to hide, such as wall voids, baseboards, and under sinks. We focus on immediate elimination while preventing further infestations. Our expert technicians also advise reducing moisture and sealing entry points to stop silverfish from returning.
Setting Up Silverfish Traps
We set up specialized traps targeting silverfish in your home’s key areas to enhance the treatment process. These traps are placed in bathrooms, attics, and storage spaces. They act as a continuous defense mechanism, capturing any remaining pests to monitor ongoing activity. Simple Pest Management technicians will check and replace these traps during follow-up visits to keep your home silverfish-free and protected from future infestations.
